High School can be full of stress these days. Summer is a great time to take a step back to evaluate yourself and grow into a better version of yourself. The purpose of the group is to develop a toolbox so that members gain self-awareness, accountability, education about ADHD and build skills. We will be using the book Understanding Your Brain Get More Done: The ADHD Executive Functions Workbook, by Ari Tuckman, PsyD, MBA. The first two-three sessions members spent exploring themselves, getting to know each other and becoming a formed group. The next eight sessions, the topics are collectively decided on by the group members. The last session is spent reviewing what is in their toolbox now. As a coach, I don’t give my clients the answers. We explore who they are to find examples of what works for them in partnership.
This coaching group is only available for High School students who have been diagnosed with ADHD. For the summer session, this group will meet ten times over twelve weeks. This group meets virtually so any high schooler can join.
Benefits of group coaching include an accountability partner, learning from others in the group, knowing that others struggle with similar issues, being validated by others for strengths and accomplishments, and many others.
